Club opening hours

As far as possible the Club operates an open door routine seven days a week but is closed on bank holidays, Good Friday, Christmas and Boxing Day.

Tea, coffee and newspapers are available in the lower drawing room from 0900 onwards and the members' bar opens at 1200 and remains so until 1500. Lunch is available in the Members Bar everyday from 1200.

During the evenings there is invariably something going on in the Club be it a special Club function, meeting of an Interior Group (see members' section) or a private party. However, the bar is always open at 1800 and closes at 2300 (later for special functions) and if you would like a meal it is advisable to let the House Manager know in advance.

By tradition we also hold a meat raffle on Fridays so if you are keen to win your Sunday roast this will be the ideal opportunity. The proceeds from the raffle go towards improving service to members.

Sunday lunches are also very popular amongst those wishing to give themselves a break from the kitchen but you are advised to book beforehand.

The wine list is fairly comprehensive, but to help members and guests in their choice and to keep the price down, the wine committee selects a number of popular wines 'house wines' which are offered by the glass or bottle at competitive prices.
