Friday 3 December - Commodore's Dinner
We are pleased to have as our guest speaker Mr Rod Carr, Chief Executive,
Royal Yachting Association who will bring us up to date with what is going on
in the yachting/boating business particularly proposals (European and Uk)
which will affect all those 'who go down to the sea in ships'.
Tuesday 7 December - Wine Tasting
The second of our wine tasting evenings - either you can go round the buoy
or if you missed it the previous month then this is your opportunity to catch
but with a different selection. Same rules apply one member one guest and
let the club know if you would like supper afterwards.
Friday 10 December - Happy Hour and Quiz Night
Gerard Noel will again be doing the honours and basket meals will be served.
Tuesday 14 December - Whisky/Rum and Cognac Tasting
Another first and again limited to one member one guest with supper
afterwards for those who book. (Note for those who become 'socially disorientated'
taxis can be arranged)
Friday 17 December - Sail Race Evening
Do you remember horse racing - well this is similar but using ships instead.
Part of Happy Hour but in the new Ballroom.
Saturday 18 December - Children's Christmas Party
Open to any child associated with the club via parents, Grandparents, Great
Grandparents, etc. All are welcome. All we ask is that you provide a gift
valued at no more than £5 for the child you bring clearly marked with his/her
name. Santa will do the rest. Lunch for the children will be provided free
courtesy of the club.
Tuesday 21 December - Carol singing with Portsmouth Cathedral Choir
Time for a good festive sing song led by the Cathedral Choir followed by supper (a la carte) but please book before hand.
Thursday 23 December - Happy Hour and Christmas Meat Raffle and Goodies
Raffle
Opportunity to win your Christmas Dinner and many other attractive prizes as
well.
Friday 24 December - Christmas Eve Lunch
Club will stay open until1500 and a complimentary glass of wine will be served with lunch.
Saturday 25 / Sunday 26 / Monday 27 / Tuesday 28 - CLUB CLOSED
Saturday 31 December - New Year Dinner Dance
Building on the success of the past two years, it is planned to have a full
evening of entertainment with a superb buffet and dancing until the early
hours. The price will be all inclusive including a half bottle of wine per
person.
Black Tie with Miniatures.
NOTES
The
Friday Happy Hour is from 1830 to 2000.
Sunday
Lunches in the Club are becoming extremely popular so please book in good
time. Book closes 2000 on Fridays.
